My dog’s favourite thing in the world (other than me) is to lay by the heater. Nine times out of ten when she isn’t curled up on my lap, she’s snuggled right up against the heater fast asleep, dreaming about cute little things, no doubt. Ever since I realised how much she loves the heater, I’ve made a point of always making sure it works. I’m fairly certain I’m the only person out of all my friends that gets their heater serviced every year, but as any dog owner would know, we often go to extreme lengths to keep our pets happy.
In two weeks it’ll be time for this years’ heating services. Canberra is a pretty cold place and so I always make sure to get my heater repaired mid-way through Autumn, because I would hate for my dog to have to survive even a couple of days in winter without her favourite heater. Seeing as every year I’m very upfront with the heating technicians about why I’m getting my heater serviced, I’ve actually become quite famous amongst the repair people. Someone new comes every year and they always happen to have a brand new dog toy with them, clearly excited to do something that will keep a dog happy for the entire year to come.
Year in, year out, I’m very impressed with the service I receive. To this date, I’ve never had an issue with my ducted heating. Canberra technicians really are experts, and I’m glad I live in an area that has technicians that genuinely care about producing the best results for their clients. Honestly, if it wasn’t for my dog I probably would never get my heater serviced, not because I don’t understand the importance of it, but because I don’t really ever get cold. The first time I realised my dog loved the heater was on one of the rare occasions where I actually was cold and turned it on. I most likely wouldn’t have needed to turn it on again for another year, but now I turn it on every day. I love my dog.
